Clare joined Averta Employment Lawyers in February 2010 as an Assistant Solicitor. Clare trained as a solicitor with Needham & James LLP and practiced as an Assistant Solicitor with Anthony Collins Solicitors.
Clare is an enthusiastic trainer and has delivered interactive workshop style seminars on a range of employment issues, including bespoke sessions tailored to corporate clients' needs.

Assisting in advising a group of senior managers in high value severance negotiations including providing practical advice on restrictive covenant issues.
Assisting a senior director in preparing and bringing an unfair dismissal claim in the Employment Tribunal, in parallel with proceedings in the High Court.
Assisting an individual client in preparing a claim for unfair dismissal and discrimination on the grounds of age, sex and marital status.
Assisting in advising a corporate client on the merger of a number of businesses and the application of TUPE on the post-merger structure.
Assisting in advising a client bringing High Court proceedings under the Protection from Harassment Act.
Acting for a sole trader on defending a claim for unlawful discrimination on the grounds of sex and achieving a settlement for no compensation other than an agreement not to pursue the claiming party for an award of costs.
